September 2008 Beaded Pearl Bugle Ring Project

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded project and other project. This month, I would like to feature the instruction on a beaded Pearl Bugle Ring made with Japanese glass bugle beads and pearls using the right weave technique.

Beaded Pearl Bugle Ring

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Pearl Bugle Ring Tutorial
Step 1:
  • Cut one piece of string around half meter long.

Add one pearl at the exact center of the string (marked with the red dot).
Add one long bugle on each side of the string (total of two) and one last pearl to crisscross (shown where both arrows exits from opposite directions).
Step 2:
  • Continue to:

Add one long bugle on the each side of the string (total of two), add one last pearl and remember not to crisscross this time, pass both strings through this pearl in the same direction (shown where both arrows exits from).
Step 3:
  • Continue to:

Add one long bugle on the each side of the string (total of two), add one last pearl to crisscross (shown where both arrows exits from opposite directions).
  • Follow by repeating step 1 then 2 then 3 until you almost reach the length of ring size you need and stop at step 2. (Stop around half centimeter short)
Step 4:
  • Joining: Continue from stopping at a repeated step 2:

Add one long bugle on the each side of the string (total of two).
Pass the left (red) string through the very first pearl you added on step 1 and tie off, do not cut off yet, pass the remaining string back through the piece (no specific order) to make the ring more secure.
  • Make a bracelet using the same tutorial to match (remember to use claps).
