March 2009 Beaded Lobster Shrimp Charm Project.

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded tutorials and other project. This month's project is a beaded 3D lobster shrimp charm, made with Japanese glass seed beads using right angle weave Beading technique.

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded Lobster Shrimp :

What you need:

1)   Glass seed beads, size 11/0 (red, white and black)
2)   Beading string (0.25mm)

Always Remember to pull tight on EVERY STEP.

3D Lobster Shrimp Tutorial
Step 1: Cut a piece of beading string around one meter long.
  • Add four white beads on the middle of the string, crisscross both string through the last added bead, shown where both arrows exits from.
Step 2:
  • Continue to:

    Add two red and three white beads on the top (black) string, crisscross the bottom (blue) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 1 marked with A.
Step 3:
  • Continue to:

    Add two white and two red beads on the bottom (blue) string, crisscross the top (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through three old beads from step 1 and 2 marked with A, B and C.
  • Note: The two beads marked with A and B here will be where the eyes will go on later.
Step 4:
  • Continue to:

    Add two red beads on the right (black) string, crisscross the left (blue) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 2 marked with A.
Step 5:
  • Continue to:

    Add four red beads on the top (blue) string, crisscross the bottom (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 2 marked with A.
Step 6:
  • Continue to:

    Add one red and two white beads on the left (black) string, crisscross the right (blue) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 2 marked with A.
Step 7:
  • Continue to:

    Add three white beads on the left (blue) string, crisscross the right (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 3 marked with A.
  • Note: the first two beads added on this step will be where the top front leg will go on.
Step 8:
  • Continue to:

    Add three white beads on the left (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 3 marked with A.
  • Note: the first two beads added on this step will be where the top front leg will go on.
Step 9:
  • Continue to:

    Add one white and two red beads on the bottom (blue) string, crisscross the top (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through three old beads from step 3, 4 and 5 marked with A, B and C.

  • Continue to:

    Add two red beads on the bottom right (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 5 marked with A.
Step 11:
  • Continue to:

    Add four red beads on the right (blue) string and crisscross the left (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 5 and 6 marked with A and B.

  • Continue to:

    Add three red beads on the top (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 6 and 7 marked with A and B.
Step 13:
  • Continue to:

    Add one red and two white beads on the left (blue) string and crisscross the right (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 7 and 8 marked with A and B.
Step 14:
  • Continue to:

    Add three white beads on the left (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 8 and 9 marked with A and B.
Step 15:
  • Continue to:

    Add one white and two red beads on the left (blue) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through three old beads from step 9, 10 and 11 marked with A, B and C.
Step 16:
  • Continue to:

    Add two red beads on the bottom (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 11 marked with A.
