Project of the Month (June)

Make your own Tie Belt!

You will Need:
1)   Old Tie
2) Large button
3)   Scissors, needle and thread
4)   An adult who can sew a button hold for you.

Step 1:

Measure the tie around your waist and cut away the excess (the thinner side of the tie). Make sure you have at least 3 inches of the thicker end of the tie in excess.

Step 2:

Sew the button on the thinner side of the tie (face up).

Measure around your waist again and mark with a pencil where the button hole should go.

Ask an adult who can sew and cut a button hole for you to sew and cut a button hole at the point where you marked with the pencil.

You are ready to wear your tie belt.
