September 2009 Beaded Halloween Witch Charm Project.

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded tutorials and other project. This month's project is a beaded 3D Halloween witch charm, made with Japanese glass seed beads using right angle weave Beading technique. This is page 2 of the whole tutorial!

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded Witch Charm :

Go back to page 1 of the Halloween witch tutorial!

Always Remember to pull tight on EVERY STEP.

Step 27: Witch hands:
  • Take the witch dress piece that you have just finished.
The pictorial on the right with beads marked blue is where the hands will go on.
  • Cut a short piece of new string around 15cm long.
Pass the string through the piece until each end exits from each of the marked blue bead on the dress (in the same direction of pointing down for both string).

    On the Left (blue) string:
Add two size 12/0 and one size 11/0 black beads, four size 13/0 white beads, pass this same string back up through the first three black beads added and further up through the black bead marked blue.

    On the right (red) string:
Add two size 12/0 and one size 11/0 black beads, one size 13/0 white bead, pass this same string through two white bead on the other (blue) string (the center two white beads).
Add three more size 13/0 white bead, pass this same string back up through the first three black beads added and further up through the black bead marked blue.

Pass both string back through the dress piece until they meet head to head and tie off.

Step 28:
  • Assembling the Halloween Witch:

Take one long eye pin (one with a loop in one end).
Add one 3mm bead of any type, add the dress piece, add one 5mm pearl, add one size 11/0 black bead, add the hat piece that you made earlier and lastly add one size 12/0 black bead.
Cut away excess wire from the pin leaving only around 1cm to curl into a closed loop with your round tip pliers.
Step 29:
  • Take one short eye pin.
Add four size 12/0 gold beads, cut away excess leaving 1cm for curling into a closed loop with a round tip pliers.
  • Make Four of these!
Step 30:
  • Assembling the broom with the witch:

Take one long eye pin, add two size 12/0 gold beads, add just the hands (the white bead loop on the witch's dress), add three more gold beads, add in the long eye pin rear end of the witch (the one you made on step 28), add four more gold beads.
Cut away excess pin leaving only around 1cm for curling with your round tip pliers, remember not to close the rounded tip totally as you need to add in the four pieces of broom brushes you made on step 29 before closing the loop.
