April 2010 Beaded 3D Star Project.

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beading tutorials and other project. This month's project is a beaded 3D star charm, made with Japanese glass seed beads, using right angle weave Beading technique.

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded Star :

What you need:

1)   Glass seed beads, two different sizes e.g. size 12/0 and size 11/0. Color of 
      your choice.
2)   Beading string (0.25 mm)
3)   One 5mm round bead of any kind as the filling, one long head pin, round tip 
      pliers.

Always Remember to pull tight on EVERY STEP.

3D Beaded Star Free Pattern Tutorial
Step 1: Cut a piece string around half meter long.
  • Add five size 12/0 beads at the center of the string, crisscross strings through the last added bead as shown.
    Make sure this beaded 5 bead ring is centralized at the center of the string.
Step 2:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 11/0, one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the left (red) string. Crisscross the other string (black) thorough the last size 11/0 bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you used to add new beads on this step) through one old size 12/0 bead from step 1 (Marked A).
Step 3:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the bottom (black) string. Crisscross the other string (red) thorough the last size 11/0 bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you used to add new beads on this step) through one old size 12/0 bead from step 1 (Marked A).
Step 4:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the right (red) string. Crisscross the other string (black) thorough the last size 11/0 bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you used to add new beads on this step) through one old size 12/0 bead from step 1 (Marked A).
Step 5:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the top (black) string. Crisscross the other string (red) thorough the last size 11/0 bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you used to add new beads on this step) through two old beads, size 12/0 bead from step 1 and size 11/0 bead from step 2 (Marked A and B).
Step 6:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0 on both side of the string (Total of 2) and one last size 11/0 bead to crisscross both strings through.
Step 7:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the top (black) string. 
    Add one size 12/0 bead on the bottom (red) string.
    Crisscross the red string thorough the last size 11/0 bead added on the black string.
Step 8:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the left (red) string. 
    Add one size 12/0 bead on the right (black) string.
    Crisscross the black string thorough the last size 11/0 bead added on the red string.
Step 9:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the bottom (black) string. 
    Add one size 12/0 bead on the top (red) string.
    Crisscross the red string thorough the last size 11/0 bead added on the black string.
Step 10:
  • Continue to: (use only one side of the string on this step)

    Add one size 12/0 bead on the top (black) string, continue to pass this black string up and through one old bead from step 2 (Marked A).
Step 11:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the top (black) string. 
    Add one size 12/0 bead on the bottom (red) string.
    Crisscross the red string thorough the last size 11/0 bead added on the black string.
Step 12:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the bottom (black) string. 
    Add one size 12/0 bead on the top (red) string.
    Crisscross the red string thorough the last size 11/0 bead added on the black string.
Step 13:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the bottom (red) string. 
    Add one size 12/0 bead on the top (black) string.
    Crisscross the black string thorough the last size 11/0 bead added on the red string.
Step 14:
  • Continue to: (use only one side of the string on this step)

    Add one size 12/0 bead on the left (red) string, continue to pass this red string up and through one old bead from step 3 (Marked A).
Step 15:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the top (red) string. 
    Add one size 12/0 bead on the bottom (black) string.
    Crisscross the black string thorough the last size 11/0 bead added on the red string.
Step 16:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the bottom (red) string. 
    Add one size 12/0 bead on the top (black) string.
    Crisscross the black string thorough the last size 11/0 bead added on the red string.
Step 17:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0, one size 11/0, one size 12/0 and one one size 11/0 beads on the bottom right (black) string. 
    Add one size 12/0 bead on the top left (red) string.
    Crisscross the red string thorough the last size 11/0 bead added on the black string.
