August 2011 Beaded Mini Cake Project.

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beading tutorials and other project. This month's project is a 3D beaded mini cake charm, made with Japanese glass seed beads using right angle weave Beading technique and a few crystals and colour beads as toppings for the cake. Great as earrings, pendant or simply as a charm. This is page 2 of the full beaded mini cake tutorial pattern.

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Step 32:
  • Continue to:

Pass the bottom red string down through one old bead marked A (from the last diagram above).
  • Before you continue beading, you should cut and roll up a right size of white felt or stuffing materials to fill up the beaded cake you made so far. Try to fill it up as full and tight as possible for a nicer looking cake.

  • You need to prepare the head pin by adding one bead (can be white or brown) and poke the ready head pin from bottom up through the felt or stuffing you just inserted. (note if you do not want the head pin to fall back out, you can bent it slightly at the tip first.)
