September 2012 Beaded Peyote Witch Earring Tutorial Pattern

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beading tutorials and other project. This month's project is a beaded peyote witch pattern, made with glass seed beads, using the peyote stitch beading technique.

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded Peyote Halloween Witch:

What you need:

1)   Glass seed beads 11/0 (black, green, beige, red and silver)
2)   Beading string (0.25mm)

Always Remember to pull tight on EVERY STEP.

 Peyote Halloween Witch Pattern
Step 1:
  • Cut a piece of string around one meter long:

    (The red dot is the starting point) Add eight black, one green, three beige, one red, one beige, one silver, one black, two beige and seven black beads on one side of the string. Make sure you have the beads at the center of the string.

Step 2:
  • Continue to: (use the left string only)

    Add two black, one silver, one beige, one black, one silver, one beige, one black, one green and three black beads on this row of single bead peyote row.

  • Continue to:

    Add three black, two beige, one green, two black, one silver and two black beads on this row.

Step 4:
  • Continue to:

    Add three black, one silver, one black, two green, one beige, one green and two black beads on this row.

  • Continue to:

    Add two black, three green, three black, skip one and one last black bead on this row.

  • Continue to:

    Add one black, skip two, add three black, four green and one black beads on this row.

  • Continue to:

    Add one black, one green, skip one, one green and three black beads on this row.
    Yes you stop there, ignore the rest of the row from now.

  • Continue to:

    Add three black beads on this row.

  • Continue to:

    Add two black beads on this row.

  • Continue to:

    Add two black beads on this row.

    Add one black bead on this row and loop the excess string back through the piece.

  • Cut a new piece of short string, add it on the black bead marked with the red dot.

    Add one black bead on this row.

  • Continue to:

    Add one black bead on this row.

Step 14:
  • Continue to:

    Repeat the adding of beads on step 12 and 13.
    Loop the excess back through the piece.

Step 15:
  • Continue to:

    Take the other side of the string you left at step 1.
    Repeat what you did from step 2 to 14 (mirror what you finished beading at step 14).

    You can add a jump ring or like me just add a few bead as a loop to hang on the earring hooks.
