October 2008 Beaded Metal Ring Project
You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded project and other project. This month, I would like to feature the instruction on a beaded metal Ring made with Japanese glass bugle beads and round metal beads using the right weave technique.

Beaded Metal Ring

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded Metal Ring

What you need:
1)  Size 11/0 glass silver long bugle beads
2)  Size 3mm metal beads
3)  Beading string (0.25mm)  
Always pull tight on every step!
Step 1:
  • Cut one piece of string around half meter long.

    Add four metal beads at the center of the string, crisscross the other end through the last added bead (shown where both arrows exits from opposite directions).
Step 2:
  • Continue to:

    Add one long bugle on the each side of the string (total of two), add one last metal bead and crisscross the other string through this bead (shown where both arrows exits from opposite directions).
Step 3:
  • Continue to:

    Add one metal bead on each side of the string (total of two), add one last metal bead and crisscross the other string through this bead (shown where both arrows exits from opposite directions).
  • Repeat step 2 and 3 until you almost reach the length of ring you need.
    Remember to stop at a step 3.
Step 4:
  • Joining: Continue from stopping at a repeated step 3:

    Add one long bugle on the each side of the string (total of two).
    Pass the left (red) string through the very top metal bead you added on step 1 and tie off, do not cut off yet, pass the remaining string back through the piece (no specific order) to make the ring more secure.
