February 2009 Valentine Heart Basket Project.

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded tutorials and other project. This month's project is a beaded heart shape basket, made with Japanese glass seed beads using right angle weave Beading technique. Perfect for Valentine's day!

Valentine Heart Basket Tutorial
Step 25:
  • Continue to:

    Add two beads on the top (black) string, crisscross the bottom (red) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 23 marked with A.
Step 26:
  • Continue to:

    Add two beads on the top (red) string, crisscross the bottom (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 23 marked with A.
Step 27:
  • Continue to:

    Add two beads on the top (black) string, crisscross the bottom (red) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 22 marked with A and B.
Step 28:
  • Continue to:

    Add one bead on the top left (red) string, crisscross the bottom right (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 20 marked with A.
Step 29:
  • Continue to:

    Add two beads on the left (black) string, crisscross the right (red) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 20 marked with A.

    Repeat this step one more time.
Step 30:
  • (after repeating step 29 one more time) Continue to:

    Add one bead to crisscross both lines through.

    You should have finished a flat heart shape shown in the below picture.

    If your threads are too short to continue, tie off and loop the remainder back through the heart piece.
    Cut a new piece of thread around half a meter long and string it through the same bead you stopped at in this step.

Step 31:
  • Continue to:

    Add three beads on the right (black) string, crisscross the other string through the last added bead.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 30 marked with A.
Step 32:
  • Continue to:

    Add two beads on the top (red) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 29 marked with A.

    Repeat this step all the way around the heart shape 25 more times. (The next step will show you how to do the joining of this beaded circle around the heart shape to step 31).
Step 33:
  • (after repeating step 32 twenty five more times) Continue to:

    Add one bead and crisscross both string through the same bead.

    After this repeat step 31 to step 33 again.
    After you have finished the repetition, tie off and loop the remainder back through the piece.
