September 2009 Beaded Witch Charm Project.

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded tutorials and other project. This month's project is a beaded 3D Halloween witch charm, made with Japanese glass seed beads using right angle weave Beading technique.

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded Witch Charm :

What you need:

1)   Glass seed beads, size 11/0 and 12/0 black, size 13/0 
      white, size 12/0 gold seed beads. One 5mm pearl and 
      one 3mm bead of any kind. (size 11/0 is one size bigger 
      than size 12/0) You can use any bead size or even 
      crystals to create this beaded Halloween Witch Charm 
      and customize to your desired size, as long as you use 
      two near size of beads or crystals e.g. 3mm and 4mm.
2)   Beading string (0.25mm), two long eye pin, five short 
      eye pin. (you also need tools like round tip pliers and 
      cutters)

Always Remember to pull tight on EVERY STEP.

Step 1: Witch hat: Cut a piece of beading string around half meter long.
  • Add six size 12/0 black beads, crisscross the other sting through the last black bead added, shown where both arrows exits from.
    Make sure this beaded ring is centralized at the center of the string.
Step 2:
  • Continue to:

    Add one 12/0, one 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the right (red) string, crisscross the left (blue) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 1 (marked A).
Step 3:
  • Continue to:

    Add one 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the top (blue) string, crisscross the bottom (red) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 1 (marked A).
Step 4:
  • Continue to:

    Add one 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the top (red) string, crisscross the bottom (blue) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 1 (marked A).
Step 5:
  • Continue to:

    Add one 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the left (blue) string, crisscross the right (red) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 1 (marked A).
Step 6:
  • Continue to:

    Add one 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the bottom (red) string, crisscross the top (blue) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through two old beads from step 1 and 2 (marked A and B).
Step 7:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 11/0 black bead on one string and crisscross other string through this new bead. (shown where arrow exits)
Step 8:
  • Continue to:

    Add one 12/0, two 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the bottom (red) string, crisscross the top (blue) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 2 (marked A).
Step 9:
  • Continue to:

    Add two 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the right (blue) string, crisscross the left (red) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 3 (marked A).
Step 10:
  • Continue to:

    Add two 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the top (red) string, crisscross the bottom (blue) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 4 (marked A).
Step 11:
  • Continue to:

    Add two 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the top left (blue) string, crisscross the bottom right (red) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 5 (marked A).
Step 12:
  • Continue to:

    Add two 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the left (red) string, crisscross the right (blue) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through two old beads from step 6 and 7 (marked A and B).
Step 13:
  • Continue to:

    Add two size 11/0 black beads one one string and crisscross the other string through BOTH beads you just added.
Step 14:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0 black bead in between each of the two bead sets of size 11/0 old beads. Adding a total of six size 12/0 black beads in total in this step.
    Tie off, string the excess back through the piece for a more secure piece.
Step 15: Witch dress: Cut a piece of beading string around half meter long.
  • Add five size 12/0 black beads, crisscross the other sting through the last black bead added, shown where both arrows exits from.
    Make sure this beaded ring is centralized at the center of the string.
Step 16:
  • Continue to:

    Add one 12/0, one 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the right (red) string, crisscross the left (blue) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 15 (marked A).
Step 17:
  • Continue to:

    Add one 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the top (blue) string, crisscross the bottom (red) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 15 (marked A).
Step 18:
  • Continue to:

    Add one 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the left (red) string, crisscross the right (blue) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 15 (marked A).
Step 19:
  • Continue to:

    Add one 11/0 and one 12/0 black beads on the bottom (blue) string, crisscross the top (red) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through two old beads from step 15 and 16 (marked A and B).
Step 20:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 11/0 black bead on one string and crisscross other string through this new bead. (shown where arrow exits)
Step 21:
  • Continue to:

    Add four 11/0 black beads on the bottom (blue) string, crisscross the top (red) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 16 (marked A).
Step 22:
  • Continue to:

    Add three 11/0 black beads on the right (red) string, crisscross the left (blue) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 17 (marked A).
Step 23:
  • Continue to:

    Add three 11/0 black beads on the top (blue) string, crisscross the bottom (red) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through one old bead from step 18 (marked A).
Step 24:
  • Continue to:

    Add three 11/0 black beads on the left (red) string, crisscross the right (blue) string through the last black bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you just used to add new beads on) through two old beads from step 19 and 21 (marked A and B).
Step 25:
  • Continue to:

    Add two size 11/0 black beads one one string and crisscross the other string through BOTH beads you just added.
Step 26:
  • Continue to:

    Add one size 12/0 black bead in between each of the two bead sets of size 11/0 old beads. Adding a total of five size 12/0 black beads in total in this step.
    Tie off, string the excess back through the piece for a more secure piece.
