June 2012 Beaded Diamond Shimmer Bracelet / Necklace Project.

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beading tutorials and other project. This month's project is a beaded diamond shimmer bracelet and necklace set, made with glass bugle and glass seed beads.

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

What you need:

Always Remember to pull tight on EVERY STEP.

Step 1:
  • Take one end of the clasps, tie four strings (length depending on whether you want to make bracelet or necklace - I would suggest you cut extra lengths for all four strings) to this end of the clasp:

Add one crystal through all four strings.
Add all seed beads on the left two strings.
Add all bugle beads on the right two strings.
Keep adding until you have four long strings of beads (you can add a temporary stop bead on the end of each string before continuing).
Now hold two seed bead strings in your left hand and hold two bugle bead strings on your right hand.
Start overlapping them like how you would tie a knot.
After the first knot, start to tie another knot in the opposite direction.
(shown by the grey knot illustration)

Keep repeating this knot tying until you have reached the length of bracelet or necklace you need.
You can keep adding beads or remove beads as you go along.
  • Add one last crystal through all four strings and tie all four strings to the other end of the clasps.
