December 2005 Beaded Ring and Bracelet

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded project and other project.  This month, I would like to feature the instruction on a beaded ring and bracelet made using 3mm beads or crystals and bugle beads.

Beaded Ring and Bracelet

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

What you need:

1)    3mm Crystal, Pearl or Beads
2)    Long bugle beads.
3)    Seed beads
4)    Beaded string (nylon or wire) 0.25mm

Step 1: Cut a piece of string around half a meter long.
String on four 3mm crystal, pearls or beads (I'll use the term crystal to represent).
Cross both ends of the string at the last added crystal as shown.
Remember to balance out both end of the strings - both end of the string should be the same length and your crystals should be at the middle of the string.
Step 2: Add one long bugle on each side of the string.
Add one seed bead and crisscross both string through this seed bead.
Add another long bugle on each side of the string.
Add one Crystal and crisscross both string through this seed bead.
Step 3: Add one Crystal on each side of the string and add one more to crisscross both side of the strings through.

Now repeat step 2 and 3 until you have got the length you need for either the ring or bracelet.
Step 4: For the ring: end off you crossing one string through the first crystal from step 1 (where you started) tie off tightly, secure the piece further by stringing the line back through the piece in which ever way.

For bracelet, just add a hook on one end and a loop on the other.
