September 2005 Beaded Fashion Ring

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded project and other project.  This month's project is a beaded fashion ring using a combination of beads and pearls.

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded Fashion Ring :

What you need:

1)    Seed beads and 4mm pearls
2)    Nylon fishing line or any other beading thread

Step 1: Make a 4 bead peyote ring band, click here for peyote stitch instruction if you already know peyote, the pictorial on the right shows how you join the peyote band into a ring (make sure you measure around your finger before joining).
Step 2: Now you can start to add the spikes, you can use a new line or if the excess lines are long enough you can use it too.  String on 3 seed beads then one pearl and one seed bead, pass the line back through the pearl and the first 3 seed beads added then through the seed bead on the ring band where the thread was coming out of before you added any beads. Make sure you pull the line tight and shift the spite to pointing upwards direction and not sideway.

Continue to add spikes like this on all the seed beads in one concentrated area on the peyote ring band, there's no limited number of spikes you can add so continue to do so until you feel it's enough.
