March 2009 Beaded 3 D Lobster Shrimp Charm Project.

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded tutorials and other project. This month's project is a beaded 3D lobster shrimp charm, made with Japanese glass seed beads using right angle weave Beading technique. This is a continual from page 3 of the tutorial.

3D Lobster Shrimp Tutorial
Step 41:
  • Continue to:

    Add red bead and crisscross both strings through the new bead added.
Step 42:
  • Continue to:

    Add one white and two red beads on the top (blue) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old beads from step 39 marked with A.
Step 43:
  • Continue to:

    Add one white and one red beads on the left (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 40 and 42 marked with A and B.
Step 44:
  • Continue to:

    Add one red bead and crisscross the other end of the string through the new added bead.

You should end up with a three bead like this:

Step 45:
  • Continue to:

    Add one red and one white beads on the bottom (blue) string, crisscross the top (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 42 marked with A.
Step 46:
  • Continue to:

    Add one red bead and crisscross the other end of the string through the bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string through two old bead from step 43 and 45 marked with A and B.

You should end up with only two beads on both strings, like this:

Step 47:
  • TAIL: Continue to:

    Add one red bead on each side of the string and a last bead to crisscross both strings through (total of 3 beads).
Step 48:
  • Continue to:

    Add two red beads on each side of the string and pass the left (black) end of the string through the last bead you added on the other (blue) string.
Step 49:
  • Continue to:

    Add four red beads on the right (black) string, crisscross the left (blue) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 48 marked with A.
Step 50:
  • Continue to:

    Add three red beads on the top (black) string, crisscross the bottom (blue) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 49 marked with A.
Step 51:
  • Continue to:

    Add seven red beads on one string and pass the other end through all seven beads.
    Continue to pass each end of the string through one bead from where the opposite string exited from (shown where both arrows exits from).
Step 52:
  • Continue to:

    Add one red bead on both strings at the same time, split the strings and pass each side through the five beads on it's side as shown.
Step 53:
  • Continue to: (only using one string in this step)

    Add four red beads on one side of the string and continue to pass the string up through three old beads from step 48 and 49 marked with A, B and C.
Step 54:
  • Continue to: (on the same thread that you used in the previous step)

    Add two red beads and pass the thread back through three old beads from step 53, 48 and 47 marked with A, B and C.
  • Repeat step 53 and 54 for the other side of the string.
  • Tie off and pass the remainder of the strings back through the piece.
Step 55:
  • EYE: Cut a new piece of string, around 10cm, pass it through one of the top white bead at the top of the finished piece (marked by the blue dot):

    Add one red bead on each side of the string.
    Add five red beads on both strings at the same time. (you can add a small piece of wire in this five beads to make the eye stem stand up).
    Add one red bead on each side of the string again and one last white bead to crisscross both strings through.
Step 56:
  • Continue to:

    Add one red bead on the left (black) string and one black bead on the right (blue) string.
    Add one last white bead and crisscross both strings through this bead.
Step 57:
  • Continue to:

    Add one black, two red and one white beads on the right (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 56 marked with A.
Step 58:
  • Continue to:

    Add three red beads on the top (blue) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 55 marked with A.
Step 59:
  • Continue to:

    Add two red and one white beads on the left (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 56 marked with A.
Step 60:
  • Continue to: (work in reverse)

    Add one black and two red beads on the top (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through one old bead from step 59 marked with A.
Step 61:
  • Continue to: (still working in reverse)

    Add three red beads on the right (blue) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 59 and 58 marked with A and B.
Step 62:
  • Continue to: (still working in reverse)

    Add two red beads on the bottom (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 58 and 57 marked with A and B.
Step 63:
  • Continue to:

    Add two red beads on the top (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 62 and 61 marked with A and B.
Step 64:
  • Continue to:

    Add two red beads on the left (blue) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the blue string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 61 and 60 marked with A and B.
Step 65:
  • Continue to:

    Add two red beads on the bottom (black) string and crisscross the other end of the string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you just used to added new beads on) through two old beads from step 60 and 57 marked with A and B.
Step 66:
  • Continue to:

    Add one black bead and crisscross both string through this bead.
    Pass the string through the bead circle until they meet and tie off.
  • Repeat step 55 to step 66 for the other eye.

Step 67:
  • LEGS: Cut a new piece of wire, around half a meter long.

    Pass the wire through the four beads on the lobster's belly that has been marked with blue dots.
    Balance out both side of the wire.
    Add ten white beads, pass the wire back through the second last bead added, add two more new white beads, pass the wire back through the second last added bead and back all the way through the first bead added.
    (Repeat the opposite side of the wire with the same thing)

    Continue to pass the wire down through one old bead on the belly of the lobster.
    Add eight beads and pass the wire back through from the second last bead added to the first bead added.
    Repeat this step for all the six shorter legs.
